Janet Gaffin is a dedicated and long-time volunteer with a deep passion for Girl Scouts, contributing more than 25 years of service to the organization. She has served as a troop leader and Service Community leader and has held nearly every major volunteer leadership role, including Service Unit Manager and Community Lead. At the council level, Janet has supported initiatives focused on strengthening team structures, increasing volunteer engagement, and advancing programs such as Gifts for Girls. She currently serves on the Volunteer Advisory Committee, is a SWOO Association Delegate, leads Every Shingle Girl Scout initiative, and is a GSUSA Global Action Volunteer. Janet is also proud to serve as Citrus Sips Chair, where she is helping to build a strong and sustainable culture of philanthropy within the Citrus community.
Janet’s commitment to youth leadership extends to her own family, with three daughters who earned the Girl Scout Gold Award and a son who earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Professionally, she brings extensive experience in human resources, having served as Director of Human Resources for a multi-specialty physician group and contributing nationally on planning committees for the Group Practice Improvement Network and the Ohio Quality and Productivity Forum. Janet earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati and is a member of Delta Gamma sorority. An avid traveler, she has visited several iconic Girl Scout destinations, including the Birthplace, Edith Macy Center, Pax Lodge, and Our Chalet.
