Association Chairs and Vice Chairs
The Association Chair and Vice Chair are appointed positions by the 2nd Vice Chair of Citrus Council's Board of Directors. They represent each association (region) within the Council and help conduct service community elections for local delegates. The Association Chair and Vice Chair are the primary contact for delegates, and they work directly with the Council's governance liaison and the Second Vice Chair to take on any governance issues (such as policy, etc. — not operational) that are important to you and your community to find appropriate solutions.
Citrus Delegates
Delegates and alternate delegates serve a one-year term as the primary communication link between Service Communities, Council, and Citrus Board of Directors. They also gather opinions about governance matters from their peers. At the Annual Business Meeting each year they elect important governance positions such as: Board members, Board Development Committee members, and National Council Delegates as well as approve changes to the Council’s Bylaws.
Annual Business Meeting
Each March – Girl Scouts of Citrus holds its Annual Business Meeting. At the meeting, delegates and council members participate in listening to the State-of-the-Council address by our Board Chair and Chief Executive Officer, as well as vote on incoming board members, participate in feedback forums, and more.
National Delegates
National Delegates are elected by the governing body of the Council to serve a three-year term. They represent Citrus Council at the National Council Session held triennially (every 3 years) hosted by Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA). The time and place for the National Council Session is determined by the National Board of Directors of GSUSA.
