Girl Scouts! The month of April is recognized as Nation Volunteer Month. This year, to commemorate the National Volunteer Month, we are partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank to provide Girl Scouts the opportunity to give back to their community. Join us as we pay it forward and help those in our community facing hunger insecurity. We'll be sorting food that will go out into the community to help others.

Date: Saturday April 4th, 2026

Time: 8:15am-11:30pm

Check In: 8:00am-8:15am

Program Level: Junior, Cadette, Senior, Ambassador, Adults (Girl Scouts must be 10 years old to participate)

Location: Second Harvest Food Bank, 411 Mercy Dr, Orlando, FL 32805

Program Fee: Free

Registration Deadline: March 22nd, 2026, at 11:59pm or when program is full

 

Important Information:

  • All participants must be registered for the event, including all girls and adult chaperones
  • Please adhere to the adult/girl ratio when attending events. This can be found in Volunteer Essentials or Safety Activity Checkpoints located on our website.
  • No walk-ups are permitted.
  • Volunteers must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift boxes/items.
  • Bottled water is provided in the break room to all volunteers.

 

Cancellation and Refunds:

  • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email and sent directly to CustomerCare@citrus-gs.org by March 22nd, 2026, at 11:59pm

Confirmation:

A confirmation email with final details will be emailed to you after registration closes. This confirmation will include the location address and information regarding day of program. Please look over this confirmation and familiarize yourself with all details.
