Service Community
-
Communities can now meet and host activities at public locations indoors or outside, as long as the current CDC COVID Community Level is at a low or medium level. Masks are not required while the levels are at these levels, however if at a medium status – those that are not fully vaccinated or those considered at risk should wear masks.
For gatherings of all sizes, ensure that participants practice all recommended guidelines that are recommended by the CDC Small and Large Gatherings and/or required by GSUSA,GSC, WHO, and local health officials.
Community/Large Events:
To host a community/large event, please complete the following paperwork and follow the recommended guidelines.
- Complete a Community/Large Event Packet which includes the following forms that are all dated 3/1/2022: (CAR, Roster, Acknowledgement Form) and submit it to Customer Care at customercare@citrus-gs.org at the attention of Michelle Rouleau for approval.
Always remember that all troops must follow and adhere to all current COVID-19 safety and health guidelines as well as communicate the requirements to the other adult volunteers and parents.
Troops must also follow all guidelines found in Safety Activity Checkpoints and Volunteer Essentials.
All paperwork that is collected for troop meetings must be kept on file for at least the entire school year. This includes, but is not limited to: meeting rosters for each meeting, adult certifications, and any other information such as meeting schedules, etc.

Troop Information and Forms
-
Troops can now meet and host activities at public locations indoors or outside, as long as the current CDC COVID Community Level is at a low or medium level. Masks are not required while the levels are at these levels, however if at a medium status – those individuals that are not fully vaccinated or those that are considered at risk should wear masks.
For gatherings of all sizes, ensure that participants practice all recommended guidelines that are recommended by the CDC Small and Large Gatherings and/or required by GSUSA,GSC, WHO, and local health officials.
All troops that are meeting in person, must complete the following paperwork and follow the recommended guidelines. If troops choose to, they can still meet virtually.
- Complete a Troop Meeting/Activity Request Packet which includes the following forms that are all dated 3/1/2022: (TAR, Roster, Acknowledgement Form) and submit it to the Safety Coordinator in each community for approval.
- Typically, GSUSA recommends that troop meetings not be held in
private homes for numerous safety, health, and liability reasons.
This includes the current pandemic which creates an additional level
of risk exposure to and from other individuals residing in a home.
However, due to the outcomes of the pandemic a home meeting space
may be a temporary option, until locations become more available. In
addition to the current guidelines and paperwork, the residence
should have no elderly or immune compromised family members present
during Girl Scout meetings.
- If meeting at a residential location is your only option during this time, you will also need to complete the Residential Agreement Form and submit that with your Troop Meeting/Activity Request Packet.
