Calling all Girl Scouts, Volunteers, Families, and Community Partners! Join us for a fun, hands-on, and family-friendly volunteer opportunity to help get Riverpoint Program Center ready for an amazing summer season! There will be a variety of cleaning projects available with different levels of involvement, so there's something for everyone. This is a great opportunity for families and teams to volunteer side by side! All volunteers will receive a Spring Family Service Day Patch!

Lunch will be provided.

Please note: For everyone's safety and enjoyment, participants must be in kindergarten or above to join the excitement.

There will be a variety of cleaning projects around the camp property.

You can expect tasks including:

  • Cleaning mattresses, bed frames, windowsills, etc.
  • Cleaning windows inside and out
  • Sweeping or vacuuming lodge floors-bedrooms, main spaces and porches.
  • Cleaning outdoor picnic tables on the porch and on the grounds
  • Moving chairs, tables, and other furniture
  • Cleaning the kitchen space
  • A variety of outdoor jobs

Spring Family Service Day Schedule

7:45 am - 8:15 am Check in at the Lodge

8:15 am - 8:30 am Overview of the Day

8:30 am - 8:45 am Walk to Assigned Location

8:45 am - 12:15 pm Complete Cleaning Projects

12:15 pm - 12:30 pm Return to the Lodge

12:30 pm- 1:30 pm Lunch at the Lodge

 

Event Details:

  • Program Level: Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior, Ambassador, Adult
  • Location: Riverpoint Program Center (2250 Newfound Harbor Drive Merritt Island, FL 32922)
  • Program Fee: $0 for girls, $0 for adults
    • A Spring Family Service Day Patch is provided to all volunteers
  • Registration Deadline: May 17th, 2026, at 11:59pm or when program is full

Important Information:

  • All participants must be registered for the event.
  • Please adhere to girl/adult ratio when attending events. This can be found in Volunteer Essentials or Safety Activity Checkpoints located on our website.
  • Closed-toed shoes and refillable water bottles are required for this program.
  • Sunscreen, hats, and/or hair back with bandana are encouraged.
  • For everyone's safety and enjoyment, participants must be in kindergarten or above to join the excitement.

Cancellation:

  • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email and sent directly to customercare@citrus-gs.org by May 17th, 2026 at 11:59pm.

  • A confirmation with final details will be emailed to you before the event. Please look over this confirmation and familiarize yourself with the details.
