Join Girl Scouts of Citrus as we learn about all things woodworking! Girl Scouts working on their woodworking badge at Woodcraft of Orlando will learn how "rough" lumber, (boards from the sawmill), go through the milling process. They will learn the tools and process used to joint, plane, and cut into parallel, perpendicular work-pieces. They will take these pre-milled boards and assemble a cutting board and apply finish. They will each take home a beautiful heirloom to be used and cherished for years to come, including after-care information to keep their hand made cutting board in great shape. Cadettes will leave having earned their Woodworking Badge. The badge can be purchased in the Citrus Council Shop.
