Girl Scout System Update - What you need to know:

Our refreshed Girl Scout member account management system is LIVE and we’re so excited!

Over the last couple of weeks Girl Scouts has been busy making updates to My GS to make it easier than ever to manage your household’s Girl Scout memberships and keep track of your Girl Scout experiences – from troop participation, activity and event registrations and more! 

 

Getting Started

To get started, you’ll need to reset your account password.

Girl Scouts sent a special email to members and household account managers containing a link to reset your Girl Scout account password. Look for the email that should've arrived sometime between December 6 and December 8. On the email, simply click on the Reset Password link, follow the steps provided, and you’ll be all set to begin exploring Girl Scouts’ new member portal!

Can’t find the email? We understand. Emails can land in Junk folders or simply get lost in today’s crowded inboxes. You can still get started by clicking on myAccount and follow the system provided prompts and guidance for reseting a password.

What you need to know

The myAccount is a great new system capable of streamlining so many things for a user friendly Girl Scout experience. But like any new platform, there are bound to be bugs and issues that can make the experience frustrating. Here is a list of some known issues we know our members are experiencing that are on the GSUSA list of known bugs. As well as some troubleshoot suggestions (if any):

 

Renewing a Background Check - Known GSUSA issue, fix is TBD

Triggering a background Check on a new volunteer role - Known GSUSA issue, fix is TBD

 

Troop Transfers of Adults and Girls- Known GSUSA issue, fix is TBD

 

Changing Troop Cookie Chairs - Please contact Customer Care so we can get the correct chair set up in Smart Cookies, the change will not reflect in myAccount (SF) at this time and a new background check will not be triggered

 

Being able to login to myAccount- login in to myAccount and follow the prompts to reset your password. Do not use stored bookmarks for your old myGS account.

 

Unable to access the VTK- you cannot access the VTK from a mobile device at this time. This is a known GSUSA issue that they are working on. Try accessing your myAccount from a computer and clicking on the VTK link. If you are still having issues please contact customer care.
