Girl Scouts of Citrus has an immediate opening for a Development & Communications Coordinator. Under the guidance of the Team Manager and the Vice President of Membership, the Membership and Community Development Specialist develops, retains, and increases girl/adult membership in assigned area and/or for assigned demographic group(s); recruits and provides ongoing support to volunteers; assists in developing and implementing plans for membership extension in all markets; represents and extends Girl Scouting in the community through presentations, collaborative efforts, and networking; and ensures the Girl Scout Leadership Experience is accessible within assigned area or for specific demographic groups.  Interested candidates should forward their resume with a cover letter to klivingston@citrus-gs.org by February 14, 2012.  Please include Membership and Community Development Specialist, Lake County in the subject line.  Membership and Community Development Specialist – Lake 2012

The Data Entry Specialist maintains an integrated, comprehensive database of volunteer information via electronic data base and filing system. She/he performs data entry of volunteer information, proofreads for accuracy and checks various source documents. The specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and retrieval of processed data, and handles time-sensitive data on a daily basis. Summer Camp Positions 2012

Required Pre-Camp Training: All Staff – June 10, 2012 through June 15, 2012

Camp Sessions Start: June 17th for 6 weeks & /Post-camp clean-up will be required

The following positions are resident (live-in) staff positions, which include food and lodging.  Camp staff are given appropriate time off during and between sessions. Female staff members are housed in quarters that are centrally located to the girls in their charge. Male staff members are housed in separate quarters from all females.  Camp staff must be flexible to reassignment throughout the summer.   All staff members undergo a Level 2 criminal background screening.   All staff must be willing to subscribe to the Girl Scout Promise and Law and have knowledge of the Girl Scout program or be willing to learn.  All camp positions require people who are team players, willing to accept other duties as assigned, able to withstand the extreme summer heat, and can get along with others in various settings.

Specialty Area Counselor: Plan and provide creative exciting activities in one or all of these areas: Arts & Crafts, Environmental Education, or Fine Arts (Dance & Music).  All applicants must be a team player and willing to be responsible for unit assignments when there is no program taking place.

Unit Lead – Counselor: 21 years of age minimum.  Experience working with children in a camp or recreation setting.  Responsible for planning unit activities with girls, keeping all special needs a priority and communicating any special instructions. Supervise the overall activities in the unit, me time, kapers, showers and bed time.  Responsible for the direct supervision of Unit Assistants and their needs.  Attend planning meetings then communicate back with unit team.  Ability to supervise young adults and girls.

Unit Assistant – Counselor:
18 years of age minimum and completion of Counselor-in-Training program preferred. Previous camp experience or working with children in a camp or recreation setting. Responsible for helping to plan unit activities with girls, instructing activities, and supervision of campers’ daily activities and sleep time.  May be required to facilitate self-guided activities.

Lifeguard/Counselor: 18 years of age minimum.  Current lifeguard certification from a recognized sponsoring agency.  Experience in working with large groups in a camp setting helpful.  Experienced in lake or pool settings required.   Will also be responsible for unit assignments when there is no program taking place.

Kitchen Aid: 16 years of age minimum.  Responsible for the set up of the dining room for each meal, prep food, and wash dishes, pots and pans.  Help maintain a clean kitchen.
