Besides the traditional methods for donating to Girl Scouts of Citrus Council, there are other “creative” ways that you can give back to Girl Scouts.  When you participate in one of the programs below, the companies makes a monetary donation back to GSCC.  It’s that simple!  Help Girl Scouts of Citrus Council stay Forever Green.

How You Can Recycle Cell Phones, Printer Cartridges. . .

Girl Scouts of Citrus Council is conducting a recycling fundraiser. There’s nothing to buy. We are simply asking you to protect the environment by donating your used consumer electronics and unwanted, broken or mismatched jewelry. Your used item(s) may be tax deductible and will be recycled in accordance with EPA regulations. 100% of the proceeds will help fund Girl Scouting in our community.

Recycling Fundraiser continually strives to pay the highest overall payouts of any recycling fundraiser! Consequently, Recycling Fundraiser is the only program that pays for EVERY item regardless of whether or not the items(s) work and regardless of whether or not the item(s) are on our price list. That is, you earn cash for every item you collect even broken items and items not on our price list. Working and non-working items not included on our price list will be credited at competitive prices.

Lastly, Recycling Fundraiser and its employees are committed not only to the success of your recycling fundraiser but to the environment as well. Paper retriever

Do you collect your newspapers, magazines and junk mail for recycling? We do and have recycled over 12 tons of paper to date.  That is paper that is not going to the landfill!  Won’t you help the Girl Scouts to be Forever Green? Bring your recyclable papers to our green and gold paper retriever bin at the Council Service Center for recycling.

Items that may be recycled:

Newspaper and Inserts – New newsprint can be made from 100% recycled paper. No virgin fiber has to be added when using this type of process.

Magazines/catalogs – Our Retriever program is happy to take magazines and catalogs, all slick paper. We can use all this high quality/high fiber paper with the exception of any paper coated in wax.

Office/School papers – These types of paper are highly recyclable. Because of the proliferation of paper created by offices and schools, please use the Retriever bin to recycle all that you can.We are able to accept window envelopes, paperback books, workbooks and staples without a problem. Shredded paper is acceptable but please bag the shreds before putting them in the Retriever bin. However, please do not recycle colored paper, wrapping or tissue paper, carbon paper or sticky notes.

Mail – Most direct mail is printed on high quality recyclable paper. Please recycle the mail that you feel comfortable putting in our recycling bin.
