Girl Scouts of Citrus Host Annual Chefs Gone Wild Event
On Friday, October 28, Girl Scouts of Citrus hosted the 8th annual Chefs Gone Wild competition at the Vue at Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando. This unique event featured 11 chefs competing for the title of best appetizer, best dessert, and best display. Attendees enjoyed delicious samplings from the area’s best chefs. Chef Gerald Bennett of Rent a Chef International in Orlando won best appetizer for his rack of lamb, Chef Alex Strachwsky of Bake Me a Cake in Altamonte Springs won best dessert for his assorted pastries, and Chef Jose Gonzalez of Cuba Libre in Orlando won best display with a beautiful Cuban-themed background. Proceeds raised from Chefs Gone Wild support Girl Scouts throughout central Florida and raise awareness about the organization.
