How We Serve Girls
Girl Scouts of Citrus Council is a forerunner in the development of self-esteem and leadership skills of girls, young women and adults. The Girl Scout program is an informal educational program, carried out in small groups with adult leadership. It provides a wide range of exciting and fund activities developed around the interests and needs of girls.
Girl Scouting is a fun learning experience for all girls! The Girl Scout program has four fundamental goals that express the ways girls may benefit from their Girl Scout experiences:

Membership
Daisy Girl Scout (K-grade 1 or 5-6 years)
Meeting in small troops, Daisy Girl Scouts make new friends, share with each other, go places and have adventures together.
Brownie Girl Scout (grade 1-3 or 6-8 years)
Brownie Girl Scouts take field trips, help others in their communities and make group decisions on activities. They can earn the 40 Brownie Girl Scout Try-it patches.
Junior Girl Scout (grade 3-6 or 8-11 years)
Junior Girl Scouts learn decision-making skills through troop government. They explore careers and have exciting adventures as a group. They can earn proficiency badges as well as four special signs.

Girl Scouts explore many worlds through interest project patches, career exploration activities and a leadership development program. Through special events called
Destinations, these Girl Scouts travel around the block or around the world. Girls may work toward the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting.
JULIETTES
These girls register as Girl Scouts individually. They can receive
Girl Scout updates regularly and participate in council-wide activities and
opportunities.
Volunteer membership is open to adult women and men 18 years and older.
