Q. How does a girl qualify for Explore Central Florida destinations?

A. Individual girls that sell 500+ boxes of cookies, including booth sales, and turn in all cookie money by March 1, 2013, qualify to receive Explore Central Florida destinations. These destinations are in addition to recognitions earned. Check out the Explore Central Florida brochure to see how many points your Girl Scout earned!

Q. How does it work?

A. Girls earn points based on the number of boxes sold and can then “spend” those points on destinations of their choosing by submitting an Explore Central Florida request. The point range for number of boxes sold can be found in the brochure.

Q. Who submits an Explore Central Florida request and how?

A. Girls should look at the Explore Central Florida brochure and decide with their parent or guardian which destinations they would like to receive. Then, submit your request via the request link found on the GSCC website. Only select a destination from the drop-down menus if you are in fact requesting that destination. Before clicking “Done”, please be sure that the point value of the destination(s) you select matches the point value of destinations earned. This is the responsibility of the parent. Troop Cookie Chairs and/or Leaders are not responsible for submitting requests for girls in their troop.

Q. How do I find out how many boxes of cookies my Girl Scout sold?

A. If you are unsure how many boxes of cookies your Girl Scout sold, please contact your Troop Cookie Chair or Leader. If he or she is unable to tell you, please contact the Product Department prior to March 24. The Product Department will refer to information entered into our online cookie management system, SNAP, by the troop.

Q. What is the deadline to submit a request?

A. Requests must be submitted between March 1, 2013 and March 24, 2013. The request form will close at 11:59 pm on March 24.

Q. What if I miss the deadline?

A. Requests received after 11:59 pm on March 24, 2013 cannot be fulfilled.

Q. What if I do not have Internet access?

A. If you cannot complete your request online, please contact your Service Unit Cookie Chair to obtain a copy of the Explore Central Florida brochure. Then, contact the Product Department at (407)896-4475 to submit your request over the phone.

Q. How will I know my request was received?

A. The Product Department will send a weekly e-mail confirmation for the entire duration that the survey request is open. It will be sent to the email address entered in the destinations request. This does not confirm that the destinations requested have been verified; it only confirms receipt of the request itself.

Q. How are Explore Central Florida destinations that include tickets handled?

A. Tickets will be distributed for one girl and one adult. For this reason, please choose the accurate age of your Girl Scout as of June 2013 in your request
