Girl Scouting offers many safe and unique travel opportunities for girls of all ages to see new places, meet new people, and learn about different cultures

These programs offer leadership and cross-cultural opportunities through regional, national and international travel. Girls can participate through council-sponsored trips or nationally and international sponsored trips called destinations

 

Examples of A Travel Pathway

Local - Travel within State of Florida
Girl Scout Seniors & Ambassadors attend Girl Scout Legislative Day at the State Capital in Tallahassee where they learn about local and national government and participate in a mock trial. Girls meet and interact with other Girl Scouts across the state.

National - Travel within the Continental United States
Girl Scout Juniors plan a trip to Savannah Georgia to visit Juliette Gordon Low’s Birthplace and plan to Bridge to the next Program Level in Savannah.

International - Travel outside the Continental United States
Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors are invited to travel to Switzerland to visit Our Chalet, one of GSUSA’s World Centers.

GSUSA Sponsored Travel Opportunities - Individuals
Girl Scout destinations are individual girl travel opportunities.  Girl Scout destinations fall into five categories: international, outdoors, science, people, and getaways. Facilitated by Girl Scouts of the USA and hosted by individual Girl Scout Councils, GSUSA, and contracted organizations, such as Outward Bound, Girl Scout destinations events or trips open girls up to whole new worlds and ideas.​
