Make a difference in the lives of girls
There are many different ways adults can get involved with Girl Scouts of Citrus Council. They can volunteer in a leadership position with girls, hold a position on the service unit service team, be learning facilitators, help with summer camp or serve on the board of directors. These are only a few of the endless opportunities. Without the help of dedicated, enthusiastic volunteers like you, Girl Scouts wouldn’t be the same.
Citrus Council offers many learning opportunities: Leadership Essentials, CPR/First Aid, Outdoor Skills and a variety of enrichment workshops. To learn more about these courses, click the Learning Opportunities (Training) tab and make your selection.
Citrus Council also has provided many of the forms that volunteers use throughout the year on its web site. These forms are PDF files and volunteers need to have Adobe Reader on their computers in order to download them. To download this free software, go to www.adobe.com. For a complete list of Citrus Council forms, click on the Resources tab on the left side and go to “Forms”.
If you have any questions about volunteer or learning opportunities, contact VolunteerServices@citrus-gs.org or at 407-896-4475 or 800-367-3906, ext. 1216.
Outcomes and Measurements
Volunteers are key to achieving Girl Scouts ultimate goal–for girls to lead with courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place. The Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) model is also important to achieving this goal. As a volunteer, would you like to better understand the GSLE model? Watch this video to find out more.
