WHAT THE GIRL NEEDS NOW ...IS YOU!!!
The history of Girl Scouting includes being girl-led and volunteer-supported. Our busy volunteers make time to come together, celebrate, learn, and always improve their leadership practices to provide the best possible experience for girls.
These annual events are part of the Girl Scout tradition at Citrus Council, but also take a look at the Citrus Program Calendar for a complete list of activities available to both girls and adults.
Although GSUSA boasts nearly 2 MILLION Girl Scout members nationwide, there are more than 30,000 excited girls on waiting lists who want to join Girl Scouts. They are waiting because there are not enough volunteers in local communities to help deliver the Girl Scout experience.
Being responsive to our volunteers, we are commited to provide MORE TRAINING and SUPPORT. Recently, Girl Scouts of Citrus along with our LOVING VOLUNTEERS and CHERISHED PARTNERS have completed a wildly successful Community Team Conference and the first annual DESTINATION: EXPLORATION.
Because you asked, we are revolutionizing our membership strategies to meet the ever growing needs ! We are confident these events will help you prepare for the busiest season of making new friends!
Please visit our EVENTS page, stop by (pardon our dust while we renovate for you!) or give us a call! We are delighted to know you are considering involvement with your future Girl Scout! It is our goal to help you with building a lifelong relationship and together reach Maryann’s goal of being the best performing council in 2017!
Girl Scout volunteers report many personal and professional
benefits, such as making new friends, learning new things, getting
active and outdoors, honing leadership skills, and feeling involved
with their Girl Scout and community! It is truly fulfilling being a
part of the Girl Scout Movement!
