Ongoing Opportunities

For those rare moments when the Girl Scout calendar has a break
You know that there is always a lot happening in the life of a Girl Scout, but just in case, these opportunities delivered by our partners in the community are always open to you.

And if you happen to find more to add to this list, by all means, let us know!             



Try a 4-6 week series to focus on a central theme for your troop.Try them out with a new troop to get them started or work it into your year to fill in the gaps between transitioning through badges or journeys. The links below provide all files for download so you can get started right away! 

  • I Can Be Barbie Series Series for Daisy and Brownies geared that takes a look at career paths and starts them dreaming big.
  • Self-Esteem Series opportunities for all grades

  • EcoGirl series for Brownies and Juniors. Go over foundational topics in preservation as well as find guidelines for fun experiments. 
  • Be a Friend First series for cadettes taking a look at bullying in pre-teens and young teens that teach girls how to take back the reigns and create peace. To be used along with aMAZE journey. 
  • Girl Scout Ways: Learn about Girl Scout traditions past and present. This series contains sessions that Girl Scouts all across the sisterhood know and love.
  • Healthy Living Series: Warm up, stretch, and get moving! A collection of sessions from Daisy through Junior all about different ways to incorporate healthy practices into your life.
  • Anti-Bullying Series: a set of workshops, divided by age level, to help the young girls in your life work through the underlying issues that cause bullying and help them bring awareness to their communities. Brownie Series currently available but check back soon for Daisy and Junior workshops.

Patch of the Month Program

Every month (starting October 2015) we will add a new fun program for girls to earn a patch. Do a new one every month or look through and choose the one you like best! The links below provide all files needed to complete the patch program and patches can be found in the Girl Scout Shop.

The Stage Dance Academy provides high quality dance instruction to children and adults of all levels in a noncompetitive, socially balanced environment. We believe that dance is an avenue geared to enrich the life of each student and family, while simultaneously building the community around us. Our students are encouraged and trained to become technically proficient dancers while also gaining self-esteem, a strong work ethic, leadership skills, teamwork, and creativity. The Stage is yours! It is here that we not only become round dancers, but rounded individuals.

The Garden Theatre, located at 160 West Plant Street in historic Winter Garden, is pleased to announce its 2016-2017 Theatre Season, running from September 2016 - May 2017. In addition to the six full-length theatrical presentations, the season will be dotted with weekend events such as music and dance concerts, as well as movies and holiday offerings. Subscriptions will go on sale April 1 for current subscribers, April 15 for new subscribers, and May 1 for single tickets at or by calling the Garden Theatre Box Office at 407-877-GRDN (4736).

Let us help you earn your artist badges.  We offer programs through Girl Scouts of Citrus at various times and locations throughout the year; however we can schedule private classes, workshops or events at the location of your choosing or at the Abrakadoodle Art Room in East Orlando.  Whether we come to you or you come to us, we provide the aprons, class supplies and art materials necessary for each participant to create his or her own work of art.​

Super Awesome Cool Pottery your one stop shop for creative Badge workshops taught by experienced teaching artists.  Offering private badge classes for troops for (Badges include Pottery, Painting, Jewelry, Textiles, Collage, and Drawing).  Yes we travel to your or come to our studio.  Call 407-452-2452 to discuss your customized workshop for your troop.  Our studio offers Canvas Painting, Pottery Painting, and clay sculpture



Cadettes! Earn the Comic Artist Badge with Elite Academy Animation every Saturday between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM! The two hour workshop will provide all the supplies to create your own comic strip that fulfills the requirements of the Comic Artist Badge. Badge is included. 



Guide yourself through walkways and explore a land filled by over 150 life size model dinosaurs. Go on a guided dig for fossils to take home, see a unique dinosaur movie in the caves exhibit, unearth a life size dinosaur skeleton in the Bone Yard, walk thru the Skeleton Garden, see the Prehistoric Museum, enter the Carnivore Boardwalk if you dare, cross into Deinonychus Island, and learn all that you can about these animals from long ago.

As you take this trip through time, complete requirements for several badges (see Girl Scout Activities-FL under Education and Group Information, at for more information).

Cost is $8 per person plus tax for groups of 12 or more with advance reservations.

Note: If you do not have 12 girls you will be charged the regular admission prices of $11.95 plus tax for children ages 3-12, $14.95 plus tax  for adults. Children under 3 are free and parking is free. There are no food services in the park, so please bring a lunch to be enjoyed at one of the shaded picnic areas. Soft drink vending machines are available.



A minimum of 14 day advanced purchase is required. Call for reservation. A minimum of 15 paid youth admissions is required. For every 10 youth tickets purchased, 1 chaperone comp will be provided. Total number of youth must exceed total number of adult chaperones in the group.



Set aboard an authentically replicated 18th-century Spanish galleon measuring 46 feet long, 18 feet wide with 40-foot masts, the ship is anchored in a 300,000-gallon indoor lagoon with night sky lighting. Surrounding the lagoon is a six-sided showroom of six additional ships where the audience is seated.

Voyagers on each of the six ships have their own fearless pirate mascot whom they cheer on as the adventure unfolds with a cast a dozen actors, singers and stunt performers engaging in a bounty of action-packed exploits, accompanied by cannon blasts, pyrotechnics and plenty of laughs.
