in Volusia County

BLAST TO THE PAST -- Have you ever wondered what a sock hop is?  Do you like to play games and have loads of fun?  Well – this camp is definitely for you – with fun – fun - fun every day.  From headbands to hop scotch, swaps to hula hoops – you’ll have tons of fun as you enjoy your blast from the past!  Get limber for some Twister fun, and put on your dancing shoes and LET’S ROCK!  You will work toward Stitch It Together or Dancercize Try-Its or your Car Care, Sew Simple or Jeweler badge requirements.

Who:  Grades 1-6

Where:  Deltona

When:  June 16-20, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Cost:  $110 Girl Scouts; $140 non-Girl Scouts

Extended Care:  8-9 a.m. and 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
$15 for morning care and $15 for afternoon care


CRAFTS, COOKING AND CRAZINESS THE GIRL SCOUT WAY -- Do you like to cook?  Are you in the mood to act a little crazy?  Do you like to do crafts?  If the answer is yes – then this camp was made just for you!  From hair wraps and sand art to lip gloss and a fashion show.  This camp is a full week of NON-STOP FUN!  What better way to spend your summer then with your friends, having fun and earning badges.  You will work toward Earth and Sky or Make It, Eat It Try-Its or your Being My Best or Environmental Health badge requirements.

Who: Grades 1– 6

Where:  Orange City

When:  July 7 – 11, 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Cost:  $110 Girl Scout; $140 Non-Girl Scouts

Extended Care Available:  8-9 a.m. and 4:30-5:30 p.m.
$15 for morning care and $15 for afternoon care
 

ESCAPE AND RELAX -- Are you looking for a way to relax and still have fun with your friends this summer?  You need to come out and have some fun the Girl Scout way.  You’ll learn how to create your own facial, make scented candles, bath salts, glitter pens, bandanna purses and much, much more!!!  You’ll create fun snacks and projects that help you stay relaxed – all while having fun with your friends and earning Girl Scout badges  You will work toward Eat Right, Stay Healthy Try-Its or your Highway to Health or Being My Best badge requirements.

Who: Grades 1– 6

Where:  Orange City

When:  July 21 – 25, 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Cost:  $110 Girl Scout; $140 Non-Girl Scouts

Extended Care Available:  8-9 a.m. and 4:30-5:30 p.m.

CANCELED SAFARI ADVENTURE -- We’ll explore the exciting world of animals by learning what and how they eat, where they sleep and lots of other cool stuff about them.  Zebras may be interesting to look at – but how did they survive in the wild with all those stripes – can’t you see them?  And how about raccoons – why do they wear a mask and how are their hands like ours?  You can help us find out which animals are endangered and what we can do to help!  And how about native plans – what does that really mean?  We’ll create a habitat for our own special imaginary animal. We’ll even make our own teddy bears.

You will work toward your Animals and Watching Wildlife Try-It or your Plants and Animals, Wildlife or Toymaker badge requirements.

Who:  Grades 1-6

Where:  Daytona Beach (Beville Road)

When:  July 7-11, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Cost:  $110 Girl Scouts; $140 non-Girl Scouts
