Outdoor Skills IV Part 2

Program Description:

For troops/groups that are ready to take the outdoors to the next level, this course teaches the fundamentals of backpacking. This basic backpacking course includes one day of instruction and pre-planning (Part 1) followed by an overnight camping trip (Part 2). Topics covered include: equipment, clothing, food, packing techniques, places to hike and camp, and basic trip planning. This course is required for troops/groups desiring to backpack in the outdoors

PREREQUISITE: Volunteer Application/Consent form and a Favorable background check, Girl Scout membership, Girl Scouting 101, and Outdoor Skills III.

Please note: in order to register, please see Outdoor Skills IV Part 1. All participants are required to attend Part 1 and Part 2. There is no registration required for Part 2.
