GIFTs (Giving Investments for Tomorrow) for Girls Family and Friends Campaign is a two part campaign. The Family portion of the campaign is conducted from Sept. 4 - Dec. 14, 2007, where our Girl Scout membership is asked to give a "meaningful gift" to Girl Scouts. The Friends Campaign allows the service units to solicit small businesses and friends to make a contribution to Girl Scouts of Citrus Council. The Friends Campaign can be conducted in the service units at anytime of the year. As a part of the Family Campaign, Citrus Council has a recognitions initiative to troops who participate in this portion of the campaign. They will be able to retain a percentage of their total donation for their troop treasuries. Information about this new initiative is available on pages 23 and 24 of the Reference Guide. An additional incentive is being offered to all troops who achieve 100% participation by all families in the troop and who turn in their paperwork to their service unit GIFTs for Girls chair or service unit manager by the deadline date. One lucky troop will have the opportunity to win a dinner/theater package at Pirates Dinner Adventure in Orlando in a special drawing to take place after the campaign ends. For more information, click here. Some of the GIFTs for Girls campaign materials are available on-line. These materials include the GIFTs for Girls Family/Friends Campaign Reference Guide; Parent's Guide; Price List, Recognition Chart and TG5 - Troop Report.
